MultCloud: Your Cloud File Organizer
Have you ever been unable to find a file because you couldn’t remember where you put it? Today we will look at managing multiple cloud drives with a simple site.
By the nature of my work, I have multiple cloud services where I keep information. This includes two OneDrives, two Google Drives, one Amazon Cloud, and two Dropboxes. Add in the various sites I manage by FTP, and this quickly becomes a chaos of files, unless you have a fabulous memory. Which I don’t.
I didn’t plan to have multiple cloud drives. I was quite happy puttering around with Dropbox. But then I wanted to do some Google scripting, and that meant a Google Drive. An employer threw OneDrive into the mix, and then there was another Google Drive to go with that as they switched platforms.
I may not have planned for it, but there is one tool that unites them all: Multcloud.
The Expansion of Clouds
Cloud services are the best way to store files so you have access to them wherever you are. If you are at home, work, on the go, on vacation…if you have a connection to the internet you can get to your clouds.
The other advantage, which I talked about last week is the ability to download those cloud files automatically and have them kept in sync, so you can access them like another hard drive.
There are a lot of services out there. And one place that you can keep them all together.
How To Keep Track Of Them All
The website that does this management is called MultCloud. I reviewed it when it first came out , but recent updates have made it easier to use.
MultCloud allows you to manage all of your cloud services in one place, even if you have multiple accounts with a single service. It also allows you to transfer files between them with ease.
Multcloud: A Multiple-Cloud Solutions
MultCloud is a free service that links your cloud accounts together in one place. Using their tools you can quickly transfer files (limited to 1TB of transfers per month).

What Are The Benefits?
There are a lot of benefits to using Multcloud:
- Everything is in one place. That includes standard cloud services, as well as some backup software and FTP links.
- Transfers are (relatively) painless. If you have ever tried to transfer between one cloud and another without having the clients installed, you know it becomes a cycle of download-save-upload. Multiply that by a few dozen files and you can waste a lot of time. MultCloud takes the pain out with their transfer service.
- Scheduled transfers and syncs. If you have files that need to be synchronized between clouds, Multcloud can do it. Set up a transfer, and schedule it to happen regularly. (Premium feature)
What Are The Drawbacks?
- Can’t change your email address login. Once you’ve signed up, you’re stuck.
- User interface can be hard to navigate. Instead of building in redundancy, MultCloud puts a lot of options in the right-click menu. Since most of us are not used to using this menu while in a web browser, it can be hard to get used to.
Conclusion
If you have multiple cloud services holding your files, you need to look into MultCloud. With access to all your files and the ability to transfer between them, it makes multiple cloud services easy.
